It all starts with a story. Mine starts with children.

Victoria is a kindergarten teacher, designer, and Arctic beekeeper who leads outdoor adventures for children and creates family experiences in Lapland. Before moving to Lapland, Victoria grew up in the Austrian Alps, surrounded by lakes, in one of Austria's most popular holiday regions. Victoria always missed the deep, snowy winters from her childhood. ‘’I missed those childhood mornings when I woke up, and everything was covered in snow.’’

The feeling of fresh snow beneath her feet, sledding down hills, and celebrating a white Christmas was something she longed for. After finishing her studies, she decided to follow her dream and move north to Lapland.
Soon after arriving, she met her Finnish partner. Together, they spent countless hours exploring Lapland's forests, lakes, and untouched nature. Her partner, Markus, had an incredible ability to discover hidden places, much to the liking of Victoria. Somehow, Markus always seemed to know where the Northern Lights would appear. Their shared love of nature inspired them to learn more about the Arctic ecosystem. They became Arctic beekeepers, caring for bees throughout the summer and chasing the Northern Lights in winter.

During the summer, there are 24 hours of daylight, while in the winter, there is little to no sunlight. Winter is also a great time to see the Northern Lights.
Whenever friends and family visited Lapland, they all wanted to see the Northern Lights. However, there were no experiences designed especially for families with young children—places where children could play, stay warm, and enjoy the evening while waiting for the Aurora.
The perfect location already existed: a private lakeside surrounded by nature, with a traditional Finnish kota.
In 2025, Victoria took over the family's boutique experience company, combining her background as a kindergarten teacher with her passion for nature and design.

Green and Blue became a welcoming place created especially for families. Victoria designed child-sized seating, added playful activities, and carefully considered every detail so that children would feel comfortable, safe, and free to explore.

Today, the Children's Aurora Tour and other family experiences offer much more than the chance to see the Northern Lights and discover the beauty of Finnish nature. They are an invitation to slow down, spend meaningful time together, experience the magic of the Arctic, and create memories that will stay with your family for a lifetime.
